David - Regarding Cinemascope - I think that is a great choice. I always look forward to the each issue, admiring its mix of narrative and experimental, scholarship on books, dvds, films, etc. It is topical (festival reports, for example) yet also has spotlights on a variety of filmmakers, of all stripes. Is it because it is Canadian that it has a more international range of considerations that US publications? I dunno, but I appreciate it.
